Supplier Code of Conduct and Responsibility
Rimoni Industries Ltd., Rimoni Plast Ltd. and their subsidiaries and affiliates
Principles for responsible conduct, human and labour rights, health and safety, environmental protection and business integrity throughout the supply chain.
Version 1 · Effective 12 September 2026 · Applies to all suppliers and business partners of the group
The Rimoni group is committed to responsible management, business integrity, respect for human and labour rights, and reducing the environmental impact of its operations and its supply chain. We expect suppliers, contractors, service providers, labour agencies, consultants, agents, intermediaries and other business partners to act in accordance with the principles of this Code, in proportion to the nature of their activity, their level of risk and applicable law.
This Code does not replace any law, agreement, specification, customer requirement or regulatory obligation. Where a stricter legal or contractual requirement applies, that requirement prevails.
1. Legal compliance and responsible management
The supplier shall comply with all laws, regulations, permits, licences and contractual requirements applicable to its operations, products and services. The supplier shall maintain management and control systems appropriate to its size and to the level of risk in its activity, and shall keep reliable records enabling it to demonstrate compliance.
The supplier is required to identify risks in its own operations and in its supply chain, to prevent or reduce adverse impacts, to monitor the effectiveness of the measures taken, and to correct deficiencies as they are found.
2. Human rights and fair working conditions
Freely chosen employment and prevention of modern slavery
Forced labour, bonded labour, human trafficking, slavery, and unlawful restriction of freedom of movement or of the right to end employment are prohibited. Original identity documents of workers shall not be withheld, and no deposit or security may be required as a condition of employment.
Responsible recruitment and recruitment fees
Workers shall not be required to pay recruitment fees, agency fees or any other payment as a condition of being hired. Where prohibited recruitment costs are found to have been charged, the supplier shall take corrective action and provide remediation in accordance with applicable law and requirements.
Contracts and terms of employment
Workers shall receive clear information about their terms of employment, rights and obligations, together with a contract or statement of employment terms as required by law, in a language they understand. Deceptive recruitment, contract substitution, and terms materially different from those presented to the worker are prohibited.
Child labour and young workers
Children below the legal minimum working age shall not be employed. Young workers shall be employed in accordance with the law, including restrictions on night work, working hours and hazardous work. Where child labour is found, action shall be taken in a manner that protects the best interests of the child.
Wages, benefits and deductions
Wages, benefits and payments required by law and by binding agreements shall be paid at least in full, on time and transparently. Deductions from wages shall be made only where lawful, explained and documented, and shall not be used as a disciplinary measure.
Working hours and rest
Working hours, overtime, leave and rest days shall comply with the law and with contractual requirements. Excessive working hours shall not be relied upon systematically, and adequate rest shall be provided.
Freedom of association and collective bargaining
The right of workers to organise, to join or refrain from joining a workers’ organisation, and to bargain collectively in accordance with the law shall be respected, without discrimination, threat or retaliation.
Equality, dignity and prevention of harassment
Discrimination in hiring, pay, terms, promotion, training or termination on grounds unrelated to the role is prohibited. Harassment, sexual harassment, bullying, violence, threats, corporal punishment and degrading or inhumane treatment shall not be permitted.
Migrant workers and vulnerable groups
Heightened attention shall be given to migrant workers, young workers, contract workers and vulnerable groups. They shall be provided with information, documents and grievance channels in a language they understand, without fear of retaliation.
Grievance mechanism and non-retaliation
The supplier shall maintain an accessible and credible mechanism for worker enquiries and grievances, including the option of confidential or anonymous reporting so far as possible. Every submission shall be handled objectively, fairly and discreetly, and retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith or cooperates with an investigation is prohibited.
Accommodation and welfare, where provided
Where the supplier provides accommodation, transport or welfare facilities, these shall be safe, clean, properly maintained and compliant with the law, including water, sanitation, privacy, fire safety and freedom of movement.
3. Health and safety
The supplier shall provide a safe and healthy working environment and shall act to prevent accidents, injuries and occupational illness. It shall identify and assess risks, implement appropriate controls, provide protective equipment, and train workers in a language they understand.
In proportion to the nature of the activity, controls shall be in place for machine safety, hazardous substances, electricity, fire, work at height, ergonomics, maintenance, housekeeping, first aid, emergency preparedness, and incident reporting and investigation.
4. Environment, resources and climate
The supplier shall meet applicable environmental legal requirements, hold the necessary permits and licences, and manage its environmental impacts systematically and in proportion to its size and level of risk.
Energy and greenhouse gas emissions
The supplier shall monitor its energy consumption and shall work, so far as practicable, towards efficiency and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. On request, it shall provide reliable environmental data relating to its operations or to the products supplied.
Air, water and wastewater
Emissions to air shall be identified, monitored and reduced. The supplier shall use water responsibly, prevent pollution, and treat wastewater in accordance with the law and its permits.
Waste, recycling and the circular economy
Waste shall be reduced at source and separated by stream. Reuse and recycling shall be promoted, and both ordinary and hazardous waste shall be handled through licensed operators.
Chemicals and hazardous substances
Hazardous substances shall be identified, labelled, stored, transported and handled safely. Appropriate safety information shall be maintained, leaks prevented, and preparedness for hazardous-substance incidents established.
Pollution and spill prevention
The supplier shall operate measures to prevent soil, water and air pollution, and shall maintain response and documentation procedures for leaks, spills and environmental exceedances.
Restricted substances and product requirements
Where relevant, the supplier shall meet legal and contractual requirements concerning restricted substances, material declarations, product safety and customers’ environmental requirements, and shall provide reliable information on request.
Biodiversity, land use and deforestation
The supplier shall act to prevent unjustified harm to ecosystems and biodiversity, shall respect lawful land rights, and shall assess risks of deforestation or significant environmental harm where these are relevant to its operations or to its raw materials.
5. Business ethics and integrity
Prohibition of bribery and corruption
Bribery, extortion, facilitation payments, fraud, embezzlement and any improper advantage intended to influence a decision are prohibited. Gifts and hospitality shall be reasonable, transparent and lawful, and shall neither create nor appear to create improper influence.
Conflicts of interest
The supplier shall prevent and disclose actual or potential conflicts of interest that could affect decisions relating to Rimoni.
Fair competition
The supplier shall act in accordance with competition law and shall not engage in price fixing, market allocation, the exchange of commercially sensitive information, or other prohibited arrangements.
Records and transparency
All business, accounting and operational records shall be truthful, complete and accurate. Fictitious invoices, false entries, concealment of payments and the splitting of payments to circumvent controls are prohibited.
Confidential information, privacy and information security
Confidential information, personal data, intellectual property and information belonging to Rimoni, its customers and its partners shall be protected, used only for authorised purposes, and safeguarded by appropriate security measures.
Responsible trade and raw material sourcing
As applicable, the supplier shall comply with requirements concerning sanctions, export and import controls, customs and origin of goods, and shall carry out reasonable checks to avoid sourcing raw materials linked to serious human rights violations, unlawful activity or significant environmental harm.
6. Supply chain, subcontractors and controls
The supplier is expected to pass the relevant principles of this Code down to its subcontractors and its own key suppliers, and to oversee material risks within them.
In proportion to risk and in accordance with contractual arrangements, Rimoni may request documents, self-assessment questionnaires, corrective action plans or other evidence of compliance with this Code. Where appropriate, an audit or assessment may be carried out in coordination with the supplier and in accordance with the law and the agreement.
Where a non-conformity is identified, the supplier is required to cooperate, analyse the root cause, define corrective actions with owners and timescales, and present evidence of implementation and effectiveness.
7. Reporting a concern, breach or harm
Suppliers and their workers are asked to report in good faith any suspected breach of this Code, infringement of workers’ rights, safety or environmental risk, corruption or unlawful conduct connected with activity involving Rimoni.
Reports may be raised with the relevant Rimoni contact, with Human Resources, or with Quality and Compliance. Alternatively, a report may be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Rimoni prohibits retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
A serious or continuing breach of this Code, a refusal to cooperate, or a failure to implement corrective actions may lead to restriction of activity, suspension or termination of the business relationship, subject to the agreements in place and to applicable law.
8. Supplier responsibility
It is the supplier’s responsibility to understand the requirements relevant to its activity, to train its workers, to keep records and to pursue continuous improvement. Publication of this Code on the website sets out Rimoni’s expectations of its supply chain; where the Code is incorporated into an agreement, order or terms of engagement, it applies in accordance with those documents.
Framework: This Code has been drafted in alignment with generally accepted principles of business and supply chain responsibility in the fields of human and labour rights, health and safety, environment and business ethics. It does not constitute a statement of certification by, or membership of, any international body.
